JUANJO OLIVA - CIBELES MADRID FASHION WEEK

I had the pleasure to attend the fashion show of Juanjo Oliva at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week.
From the second row, I could observe the different designs, colours, fabrics, and the main theme.
For this collection, Juanjo Oliva chose the theme: ''the misterious women from Hitchcock's films and the 40's and 50's''.
At the beginning, he used orange and red tweed in convex and retro clothing. Some of the models wore a mini hat using the same fabric as the garment.
The predominant colours were: orange, purple, green, black and some of them grey.
Silk was used for some blouses and dresses. I liked how Juanjo Oliva gave the leading role to the back. I find this very original and elegant as not many designers do this. Some of them looked like wings.
The main fabric was tweed, which was used in dresses, skirts or trousers.
As well, Juanjo dresses elegant women, classy and that will always be faithful to their style.
What I didn't really like was the pumpkin coloured dresses that were really baggy and not flattering at all.
Generally, I liked it but I found it too extravagant and the music was really annoying but it was my first experience at a fashion show and hopefully, not the last one!

XL printed tees

Now that its getting close to the summer, XL printed tees are getting very fashionable.
I specially like the TOPSHOP ones. I also like the ones that have a flag on it. USA or UK one is the most printed one on tees.
All kind of retro pictures and 50's prints are very common and you will see many of them this summer.
My personal opinion is that it'll look really good with some denim shorts or a mini skirt!
I think it has a bit of a hippie touch but it is perfect for an afternoon out with some friends in the summer.
Some cebs wear them so it is absolutely fashionable at the moment and the good thing about it is that there are available in many shops and in some of them, at very cheap prices.
These tees are a MUST HAVE for this summer!
Don't wait to get one of them!

BY MY FRIEND, MILY

Se nos ocurren canciones que podían incorporar a sus desfiles como «I will Survive» o «The Show Must go On».

COCKTAIL

I believe you have many times thought about what could you wear for a cocktail. Perhaps, you think, ''Oh well, it's ok, I'll think about it later''. But then, when it gets to the moment when you have to get changed, you start to panic. So that this doesn't happen again I propose you some ideas.
1. What I think it will always look good for a cocktail is a blazer. DEFINETELY! Maybe, with a cool top and skinny jeggins! SHOES: Peep toes or just heels!
2. A high-waisted skirt with aN XXL print on it, of course tucked in. Alexa Chung's look might inspire you! Also, a nice jacket and heeled boots, perhaps Louboutin's.
3. If what you are looking for, is a more casual, but elegant look, there is still, a really good look I have thought of. What about a strapless, striking, catchy top?! I bet it'll look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G with some leather leggings on and of course, some incredibly H.H.(high heels!).
I hope this new post will help you when you find yourself in this kind of situation!! xxxx

Winter colours

This season the most worn colours will be CAMEL and GREY. In all the famous designer's catwalks there are many garments in camel. It's preferable to be in suede or in velvet. Which colours to combine it with? BLACK. The BLACK has to be in leather or in goatskin. If you know well how to use it , it can look really good! Chloe is a key point about the CAMEL. As you know, the majority of Chloe's outfits are CAMEL. Have a look at those. If you are looking for something less expensive you can also look at Zara. They have really nice coats and jackets.

GREY. I personally like GREY. It is very simple but very elegant. Comptoir des Cotonniers is a success in terms of GREY clothes. Look at their web page: http://www.comptoirdescotonniers.com/
All CEBS were GREY to be more discrete and to show their style .

Dusk by Elie Saab

Black is the most popuar colour of this collection. Fashion vampires filled the Catwalks with gothic and modern looks. BLACK is the main colour in this collection by Elie Saab. In this collection he combines the black with maroon, mint green and dark or navy blue.
The dresses that Elie Saab has designed for this winter-fall collection are mostly made out of silk or chiffon. Darkness, sobriety and discretion characterize this designs.
We can see lace dresses with flaps and tweed jackets. Some of these dresses can be adorned with big pearled or metal necklaces. The perfect shoes to wear with these dresses are black platforms or high-heeled sandals.
Lastly, thick furred stoles are ideal to use with these outfits. Also clutch bags can be a total success when combined with these dresses by the genius designer Elie Saab.
